  • Can the equipment be used with a wheelchair?
    admin27-02-2016

We have seen our own special children being unusually passive when using rolling equipment.

Our seesaw, the „Pillangó”, is created for kids to use it independently, outside of their wheelchairs, to enjoy the freedom and to be inspired to be active.

That said, we designed our second project, the „Bucka”, to include a ramp, to make the sandbox wheelchair accessible.

  • Which areas does a playground need?
    admin27-02-2016

When planning a playground you should identify the target group and then choose the adequate equipment. At the same time you should also consider different patterns of movement and playing. On climbing equipment children can have a good time, train their sense of balance and stay fit. Other moveable equipment, like rotators, cable rides or swings, are always a good match for all age groups. In the case of smaller children you can also provide for role play equipment or sand areas. Also important are areas for relaxing or benches in the shadow for adults.

  • How is imagination playground different than other playgrounds?
    admin27-02-2016

Traditional playgrounds consist primarily of fixed equipment, such as slides, monkey bars and teeter-totters, all of which focus on developing children’s gross motor skills. Imagination Playground, on the other hand, is an interactive, transformable environment that prompts children to manipulate their environment and create a playspace of their own with sand, water and loose parts. Imagination Playground addresses a broader spectrum of play needs through opportunities for fantasy play and socio-cooperative play, in addition to more traditional running, jumping and climbing. Kids need to be active on many levels, and they need to exercise their minds as well as their muscles. Research shows that children at the age of eight who have experienced varied and challenging play are considerably better prepared to benefit from ongoing formal education. Imagination Playground can be used by itself, or in conjunction with traditional playground equipment.

  • Is high rope play equipment dangerous?
    admin27-02-2016

To the contrary, accident statistics prove that rope play equipment is among the safest play equipment of all. If rope play equipment is designed and manufactured professionally, it is no more dangerous than other play equipment. The geometry of the net prevents everybody from falling through from the top of the structure to the ground. For example, our giant rope pyramid Neptun XXL is extremely impressive with its height of more than 9m (29 ½ ft) , but at no point is there a free fall risk greater than 1.8 m (6 ft.).

According to accepted standards, even 10 ft would be acceptable with the right safety surfacing. Thanks to the spatial structure, and specially designed rope elements; a falling child has the opportunity to stop their fall safely and quickly by holding on to a rope.
